I’m an international student in the United States from Vietnam. I graduated from Creighton University Heider College of Business last May and will be attending Creighton School of Pharmacy & Health Professions this upcoming fall. That seems like an irregular path huh? I’ve heard that a lot, from friends and professors. Sometimes I, too, ponder over my choices, but at the end I know the overall path is right for me.
I majored in Finance and was on analysis track in college – loved every single class and did great in each. All lectures inspired me, all professors empowered me, and all formulas and concepts made complete sense to me. But I didn’t want to work in banking because I would not fit well in that type of environment. It wasn’t likely that I would find a real purpose there. Then I recalled my parents’ mention of pharmacy earlier when I was in high school, so I gave it more thoughts. After doing some research about career paths, talking to my mentors, and shadowing, I felt a lot more connected to my future. I decided to go to pharmacy school and to make an impact in my own way, even when others questioned (and are still questioning) my choices.
So as to maintain and develop what I learned in my business courses, I created this blog. I want to write analyses of pharmaceutical industry, as well as financial analysis of pharmaceutical companies. My goal is to upload monthly, or biweekly at most. Here and there I will probably do a book review, or something random about life.
Well, that’s all I have. Hope you like what you’ve read 🙂
